– METAL CULTURE UK
SPILL YER TEA is a gathering practice around performance art shaped by queer and disabled ways of making, thinking, and being together. It creates space for artistic exchange, collective learning, and connection, foregrounding live and experiential practices as ways of encountering different perspectives, deepening understanding, and reflecting on our relationships to ourselves and others. SPILL YER TEA brings artists and audiences together through a dynamic programme of live performance events, conversations, workshops, and residencies.
From our home in Liverpool, we collaborate with artists at all stages of their careers across local, national, and international contexts. We welcome fluidity and remain intentionally open in our approach, resisting fixed definitions of what performance art can be and do. We embrace uncertainty, complexity, and artistic risk, valuing practices that surprise, challenge, and invite us to think differently.
At the heart of SPILL YER TEA is a commitment to care and access, which we approach as an ongoing creative and collective practice, shaping how we gather, programme, and work together.
SPILL YER TEA is currently organised by Pierce Starre (Founder and Director) and developed through ongoing collaborations with artists, freelancers, and partner organisations. We are a member of PLAYA (Performance and Live Art Yearly Assembly), an emerging network of performance and live art organisations and festivals across Europe.
